Arghhh, has your computer been infected with the dreaded trojan virus?!? Is this has happened the first thing to do is NOT PANIC. The trojan virus is perhaps one of the most popular forms of malware infecting the internet. Unfortunately in the cyber world having to endure trojan virus attacks are part of the territory. If you discover your computer has been infected it is important that you clean the trojan virus from your computer quickly.

Like viruses that effect human beings, computer viruses are not all that different. Once formed, they spread person to person virally infecting individuals one at a time. And like normal viruses if they are not cured they will simply get worse and worse, spreading through your system and shutting down your ability to perform other functions.

A trojan virus can cause a host of problems once it hits your computer. It can:

Destroy your hard drive and corrupt the registry

Alter system setting and preferences and then block you from changing them back

Steal private information such as bank account and credit card numbers

Snoop on your browsing habits and report findings to others

So by now you are probably wondering “how can I remove a trojan virus from my computer?” Well before we get into that there is something equally as important. You must learn how to prevent trojan viruses from attacking your computer first. This can be done by installing a firewall.

Although versions of Windows Vista and XP (sp2) come with firewalls already installed, these are sometimes not enough. Norton and McAfee are widely considered the top two firewalls available. For FireFox users you can download a plugin called “McAfee Site Advisor” which tells you if any potential website will attempt to infect you with spyware and viruses. Once you turn it on you may be shocked by all the dangerous websites you didn’t know you were visiting. Those of you currently using Internet Explorer I highly recommend switching to FireFox for security purposes.

Now can get to how to clean a trojan virus. This can be done manually, but unless you have a strong understanding of Windows registry files I do not recommend doing it yourself. Fortunately there are a few programs which can remove trojan viruses easily, along with adware, spyware, and other dangerous forms of malware. In just a few short minutes your computer can be trojan virus free!

Trojan Vundo is a trojan horse that disguises itself as a .exe program. You may have downloaded it from MIRC, email attachment, or a program that looked like another you were searching for. Once the .exe file is executed, you would have installed this trojan

The following symptom will be displayed on your computer:

You will experience multiple pop up advertisements on your Internet Explorer browser every time you surf the web. The reason you know it is Trojan Vundo probably is because your current anti virus detected it. I was running Norton which detected the trojan on my computer but was unable to quarantine or delete the file.

Norton is the standard for PC protection for most computers and I can’t say exactly why it was able to detect but not remove Trojan Vundo, even after each reboot.

Trojan Vundo has many variants and one needs an updated trojan database that is able to detect and remove the newest signatures. Some forums suggest a manual way of accessing the computer’s trojan scan log, but that might be too technical. I was looking for a way to remove Trojan Vundo using a simple Trojan Removal Software.

So what I did was to get the latest Trojan Removal tool in the market that also offered live technical support in case the pop ups continued. So if you have Trojan Vundo on your computer and your current anti virus tool is not working, you may need to use a focused trojan removal tool to resolve your problem.

Trojan horses. What are they and how to get rid of them?

Tips to eliminate Trojan horses:

Trojan horses or Trojans as they are commonly known as, have established themselves as a terrible plague that pretends to take our PCs down, this programs are capable of camouflage themselves in other programs we are downloading from some website; once we run the program, Trojans can infect our systems up to the point in which our computers are controlled from an unknown foreign user.

Most of the Trojans have as a goal to open communication back doors, such as TCP or UDP ports, others gather personal information, such as: our passwords, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, phone numbers, etc; some others just have the task of destroying personal information or the system’s information, but most of the Trojans are just in charge of spying and been able of controlling the victims computers without he or she been aware of this. These are the facts that distinguish a Trojan from a virus, its goal, because usually Trojans do not destroy, unless they have this property.

The intrusion way into our systems is much known for those who have already been infected by this program, the Trojan is hosted inside applications in websites from unknown origins, they could be images in gif format, music files (mp3, mov, mav), videos, programs, etc. Another method of infection is through e-mails; when we receive an e-mail with attachments from some unknown sender and open them, for been installed in the PC, the program runs as usual without been detected by the antivirus software, because, apparently it is running the applications we wanted, but what the Trojan is doing for real, is making our PCs vulnerable. This is why it is known as a Trojan horse, because it uses some sort of disguise, similar to the one the Trojan citizens let inside their forte, decision which led them to destruction.

By been able of making our PCs vulnerable, intruders can easily gather information from our computers, others just focus on performing destructive actions, however, each day intruders create new techniques and evolve with sophisticated applications, these Trojans open some backdoors which allow them to connect our equipment and control it with us been completely unaware of their presence.

Some precautions I would advise you to take in order to avoid these types of programs are: every time you open an attachment, be sure that the sender is from a reliable source and not an unknown contact, because infections via e-mail is one of the most common ways of intrusion to the systems.

When you configure your e-mail, be sure to deactivate the automatic gap for attachments, that way you can decide if you want to open them or not. Some e-mail customers have antivirus software that scans the attachments before they are opened, or can be synchronized with the antivirus software that you have installed in your PC. If your client does not offer this possibility, maybe it is time to purchase or download another one that does.

Check your operative system’s patches once in a while, because new failures are found every day on them, and keep your antivirus software updated against the new threats that will come every day.

Last but not least, avoid using peer to peer programs (P2P), such as E Mule, Kazaa, Limewire, Ares, I Mesh or G Nutella; because they usually carry Trojans while you are downloading files.

Has your computer been infected with the trojan Zlob virus? Guess what, you are far from the only one. The Zlob virus has infected millions of computers across the globe with seemingly no way to stop it. I have noticed a sharp increase in the amount of people seeking to get a Zlob removal. Fortunately I have found a very easy way to remove Zlob and most importantly keep it off. But before we get into that, lets look at what exactly the Zlob trojan is and why it is dangerous.

Zlob is a trojan virus that often masks itself as a desirable program or function. This is how it can sneak onto your computer without you knowing. It doesn’t say, “hey look I’m a virus!” Often times you have no idea you have been infected until it is too late. There are tons of different ways to be infected, but here are the most popular:

• Through a fake video “codec” required to run any multimedia downloaded from the net. This is why I warn people to never install a codec for video files downloaded online. If your media player can’t play it then it is a corrupt malicious file.

• Installing free programs online that come with bundled spyware and viruses. You know the saying “there is no such thing as free lunch?” Well this applies to online program too. If there is a program that normally costs money but you are getting it for free, you may want to think twice about installing it.

• You’re browser has been hijacked and force installed a virus onto your system. I am sure we have all been there. You are minding your own business and surfing around on the net. All of a sudden a hundred pop ups appear and your browser starts redirecting to random websites. These are browser hijackers who exploit security gaps to slip viruses like the trojan Zlob onto your computer.

Once installed on your system, the Zlob virus causes two major problems. First it attempts to corrupt your registry directory. This can cause serious damage to your computer, possibly leading to a complete collapse of your system. The second major problem is the threat of identity fraud. Zlob uses spyware and keyloggers to record sensitive information like passwords and credit card numbers. Identity fraud is a real danger while Zlob remains on your computer.

In order to remove Zlob or conduct a Zlob removal procedure, you need a program that can perform deep embedded scans of your system. Zlob will often spread malicious files throughout your computer in hard to reach areas. A Zlob remover is required to eliminate all remnants of the deadly trojan virus. Fortunately I have used such a program that can remove Zlob in minutes. The best part is it also has real time protection to prevent future Zlob attacks! Scan your computer free below.

Zlob Trojans are some of the most insidious Trojans out there. If you’ve ever tried to watch video from a web site, only to be informed you needed to download a special “codec”, then you’ve probably run into a Zlob Trojan. They are insidious.

They’re even worse because they do a really good job of pretending like they are legitimate software. They’ll often have fake end-user license agreements so that they’ll seem like the real deal. But really, these are just there to fool the unsuspecting user into downloading malicious software.

Sometimes the agreement will tell you exactly what you’re about to download, but in the kind of shifty language where you can’t really know the maliciousness of what you’re downloading.

Once you’ve downloaded this software, you’ll start to see lots of adware. You’ll get screens taking over your desktop, posing as security warnings. You’ll probably even have pop-up windows telling you your system is infected. (“ActiveX Object Error” is one common message that comes up.)

Of course, you’ll be instructed to buy a specific kind of “anti-spyware”, or at least run a check with it, in order to “fix” your computer.

But this is far from the end of things. Zlob Trojans keep on downloading adware and rogue anti-spyware. You’ll just get more and more “error–run scan with X software” messages. And they’ll look more and more legitimate–much of this kind of malicious adware and rogue anti-spyware is designed to look either like a Windows security alert, or else like a real and legitimate anti-spyware program.

Zlob Trojans uses the increasing popularity of internet video to make potential victims of us all. This kind of malicious adware doesn’t just come from video sites. Online greeting card sites, music download sites, and even instant messengers can transmit this kind of malicious software.

So what can you do to protect yourself?

Read any end-user license agreement you are shown. The time you take may seem irritating, but it’s worth it. Real agreements, while sometimes long, are easy to understand. The agreements for this kind of malicious adware generally are not.

Verify what you’re downloading. Before you download any kind of video codec (or any other executable file you’ve never heard of), make sure you know exactly what it is. Google it, use an online virus scanner (or your own–you really should have at least one spyware checker). Find a good security support forum and make sure it has a search function.

If even one of these sources says the file is questionable, you probably shouldn’t download. If all three tell you that, you definitely want to keep it off your computer.

Use up-to-date spyware protection. In today’s day and age, this is absolutely essential. Make sure you’ve got a legitimate anti-spyware program (i.e. one that you chose–not one that downloaded itself and then expected you to buy the full version), update it daily, and use it!

Dwight D Eisenhower’s urgent concern when leaving office in 1961 was that future leaders as well as the people of the United States might not realize the immense responsibility that comes with having the worlds largest military industry. Military spending is essential for the defense of a nation, but when peoples of a nation are manipulated by fear tactics brought on by a government anxious to demonstrate military might, we have a problem. This is not defense. It is offensive in every sense …

Whether or not you know what spyware is and how it works, you probably know that it is usually not a good thing. Getting rid of it is crucial! Anti-spyware software is made just for this purpose, but there are many fakes out there. Trojan.Win32.WinSpywareProtect is one such rogue. This article will explain more about spyware, and what you need to know to eliminate it and protect your security.

Spyware is software that installs itself on your computer. Sometimes this happens without your consent, other times it may come from something you download. Always read the fine print when installing anything on your computer – this is sometimes where it will tell you that some type of adware or malware is going to install.

What do these software programs do? They spy on you! Whatever you do online, it can be tracked. Sites you visit, business information, and searches you perform can all be tracked. This is bad news for your pc and your personal identity. That is why eliminating it is so important.

What are some of the signs of spyware? A noticeably slower pc, increased pop-up ads and freezing or locking up are some of the classic symptoms. You may also notice that your homepage has changed, or that there are things in your browser that weren’t there before, such as a new toolbar. If you have these symptoms, you are probably infected.

Anti-spyware software is made just for this. These programs will scan your pc to clean up any viruses, trojans and other parasites that may be a threat to your computer. Avoid rogue programs like Trojan.Win32.WinSpywareProtect. Software programs such as this are created by criminals to take your money, and they don’t work. They will advertise aggressively to you, warning that there are severe security threats on your pc, and that they will scan your computer to remedy the problem. Don’t download these programs, and don’t give them your money.

What can spyware do to your personal security while online? Plenty. Since it can gain access to anything you do, it can get secret information like account passwords. Banking online, paying other bills, and using your credit card is not safe when your pc is infected. You can even be a victim of identity theft!

What should you do? Find a reliable anti-spyware software program. There are many available, but most of the time it will take two separate programs to completely rid your computer of parasites. The first will normally get rid of 60 to 90% of the problem. Purchasing a second software program is sometimes necessary to clear up the remainder.

The only real solution is to use software such as Spyzooka that is guaranteed to eliminate spyware with the first scan. This program is highly rated, and considered excellent by those who have used it. Trojan.Win32.WinSpywareProtect is a scam, so beware! Your computer and privacy will not be protected – it is a total waste of money.

I was traveling one time, as I often do, and was staying at a hotel on my trip home. I went down that morning in order to be able to grab some of the continental breakfast that they were serving. This particular hotel had a great breakfast buffet and I was really enjoying it when I looked over into the corner and there was a computer sitting in a small office. I asked one of the hostesses about the computer and they told me that it was for the visitors to the hotel to be able to check e-mail or to surf the Internet. I went back into the room in order to do just that. After checking my e-mail and making sure that my little Internet world was still running I stood up to leave when something caught my eye.

Sitting right there on the desk and partially hidden under the computer was a CD-ROM. I pulled out the CD to see what it could be and written on the outside were the words customer invoices and payroll. Now I’m not a dishonest person, but I have to admit that my curiosity got the best of me. I rationalized it in my mind that I would just take the CD home and look at it to find out who it belonged to. In that way I could return it to its rightful owner. I tucked the CD into my suit pocket and walked out.

Once I got home I loaded the CD into my computer and ran the file that was located on it. I was disappointed that the file didn’t open, so I took the CD out of the tray and threw it away. What I didn’t realize is that I had just fallen for a trick that is known as a road apple. The CD that was left in the small office was actually a ruse, and by running the CD program I ended up installing a Trojan horse virus onto my computer.

I had always thought that if I had a Trojan horse virus would crash my computer altogether. What I didn’t realize is that this particular Trojan horse virus just ran in the background and secretly watched everything that I did. They recorded all of my keystrokes and did some screen captures and then sent them all to the creator of the Trojan horse virus. It wasn’t long before trouble really began to crop up.

The first thing that I noticed that was wrong is that strange charges began to appear on my credit card. It seems that when I had typed it in to my computer when I purchased something online that the Trojan horse virus had sent off my credit card number and it was used by someone else. Then I was locked out of my e-mail account and found out that it had been compromised and used to send out millions of spam e-mails. Most of my accounts soon became unavailable.

It took me a long time to be able to correct all of the things that this Trojan horse virus had done. Not only did it steal my credit card numbers but it took all of my passwords and locked me out of my accounts. It took many e-mails and a lot more hours to be able to get all of my passwords changed and my credit cards reestablished with a different number. So it doesn’t matter what kind of package it comes in, a Trojan horse virus can strike and cause you a lot of pain.

If you are confused about what the top Trojan removal program is and do not even know where to start to ensure that you are not wasting your money, the information to follow should help you to head in the right direction.

One key issue that always arises is whether or not Trojan viruses are the problem to start with. If your computer performance has declined, you are experiencing computer crashes and freezes, or if your PC has been acting in a strange way, you may have a virus on your system. Some of the follow symptoms are associated with Trojan viruses and could require the help of a Trojan removal program to eliminate:

Websites you did not request are appearing

You are getting strange error messages and pop-up ads

Your web browser is very slow

Windows loads slowly

Strange software appears when you start up your PC

Your modem light is spastically blinking even when you are not online

The mouse is leaving a trail on your screen

Your favorites list has added some sites that you never placed there

Brand new toolbars are appearing in your web browser

Your homepage is hijacked and you end up on sites not requested

Your function buttons are reversed on your mouse

If you even have a hint of any of these symptoms, you will want to look into a quality spyware program immediately. Truth be told, computer hassles are one annoyance but identity theft can be a long term devastation that will cost you in both dollars and time.

What should I look for in a top Trojan removal program?

The following qualities exist in quality Trojan software:

Quality One: A Large Definitions Database

This database contains knowledge of viruses and other threats currently in existence. It is a solutions database. The virus detected is found due to it being identified against an item in the definitions database and then can be eliminated. You will want to seek a definitions database of at least 250,000 items.

Quality Two: Easy User Interface

If you can’t understand it, what good is it?

Look for a software program that has all major functions on one key page. Also make sure that each button of the navigation system explains the function behind it. You want the entire process to be simple as possible and the best Trojan remover programs should make it easy for you.

Quality Three: More than Trojan Removal

The best software programs will rid of adware, malware, spyware, keyloggers, trackers, worms and tons of other threats. It is vital to get software that can accomplish this because Trojans like to hide out in other forms of spyware and malware and can be difficult to find yet extract.

Quality Four: Free Scan Tool

All good Trojan removal programs should offer a free scan so that you can detect threats before purchasing the full version software that removes such threats. The tool will actually show file names being scanned and will check all drives. By having this feature, you can be at no risk for purchase until you identify that there is a problem.

Quality Five: Unlimited Use Option

If you purchase a software download, you should have a license that allows at least one full year of unlimited use. Also make sure to take up on any discount offered for multiple computers if you have additional ones to protect in the house.

Keep in mind that even if you do not find a bunch of threats now, it is good to have protection on your PC year round. If you are serious about protection, you can add a general virus scan and a registry repair tool to complete your protection suite.

The entire process of Trojan removal should take less than 10 minutes. After scanning and repairing, be sure to restart your PC for the changes to take effect. The top Trojan removal program software should eliminate errors after one to two cycles.

Trojan Vundo is a trojan that is not easily removed by conventional anti virus products. You will experience your anti virus informing you that trojan vundo has been detected but you will be unable to remove it after scanning and rebooting your computer a few times.

Trojan Vundo has many variations. The common one which infects many computers has the following sympton. When you boot up your computer and access the Internet with Internet Explorer, you will see multiple random ads appear. New tabs are opened and this causes your PC to use up resources to cater to these Ads. If you have a slow computer that has installed many programs, this can bring your surfing experience to a crawl, as your PC has to share resources not only displaying the webpage you’re trying to visit, but those of the pop up ads as well.

The other Trojan Vundo variations are more dangerous because they can leave your computer open to back door type infections. Back door basically means a hacker can now install a Key Logger Trojan on your computer, which detects password type sites and is able to phish your password and user name, then storing it on their database.

That is why some usernames and passwords are compromised and posted to warez sites. If your credit card and ss number is compromised, this could lead to identity theft where online scammers use it to make purchases over the internet.

Safety rules to avoid Trojan Vundo is not to open file attachments that do not look familiar to you. Even from someone that you know, its better to delete the file if the file does not look safe. Some emails say, “hey check this out”. Once you double click on the file, the Trojan Vundo is installed, and your computer has been compromised.

Trojan vundo requires a good updated trojan scanner to remove. Obsolete and free scanners will often inform you that Trojan Vundo was detected and unfortunately not able to remove because of the many heuristic variations of this trojan.
Watch the video related to what is trojan

The contest is over, winners will be announced this week. Get more info on edu.bitdefender.com Trojans are probably the most widely spread malware these days. As the name suggests they are something different then what they appear to be, in a malicious sense. The target of these threats is financial information, using computer resources and dDoS by flooding made possible by having thousands of infected computers send small bits of information to another machine. Trojans are of the following …
