How Do I Get Rid of the Trojan Virus

Trojan viruses are tricky because they are different from a regular computer virus.  A trojan virus is a piece of malicious software that opens a whole in your computer that leaves it open to other malware attacks.

The trojan virus gets its name from the Greek legend of the Trojan Horse because of how the Greeks made their way into the city of Troy by presenting them with a huge horse statue that contained Greek soldiers.

More or less, the virus piggybacks on a seemingly harmless program so it can infiltrate your computer.  Once the back door in your computer has been opened to other forms of malicious programs like spyware, adware and other programs, your personal information is at a great risk. Certain spyware like key loggers can record every single keystroke you make, transmit that information back to a hackers, which then can be deciphered to attain your credit card numbers and other sensitive personal information.

So you’re asking, “How do I get rid of the trojan virus?”

Well, here are some things to do immediately to stop any more spyware and malicious programs from accessing your computer.

Make sure if you have any anti-spyware/virus software, that it is up to date.  It’s critical in the first place that you have some sort of software.
Scan the computer’s registry to find the trojan virus and eliminate.  This is where these things lurk, in the registry entries in your computer.  A registry cleaner will do the trick.
Access the task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+delete and close any and all programs that are running in the background that you think are dangerous.  If something doesn’t look right, end the process.  You can also go to the add/remove programs in the control panel and remove the program that you think contained the trojan virus.

The best thing to do is to arm your computer with antispyware software.  Nothing beats.  Trying to manually delete programs is involved and taxing.

A very cut down version of what was about a 12 minute flight with the Trojan. The weather overcast and varying wind. There were 3 Buzzards that seemed to like flying with the Trojan. The camera didnt catch too much of them on film as when they got close I dove the plane away from them. They seemed interested in the model and not one bit scared of it. They could have been thinking it would make a larger dinner. This film is with the camera mounted sideways, its great to fly past and catch the …

You can go to http://www.download.com and download the free program called AVG Anti-virus. The personal version is free.

If you have a virus, and visit a website, you can not possibly take down the site, unless you are uploading information to the server, such as torrent uploading. Even in this case, the site itself would not be harmed. Any respectable web server would not only be running top quality anti-virus software, but most would be running a linux based server. Windows viruses are immune to Linux/Unix based systems.

In order to get rid of a virus completely, it is recommended to reinstall your operating system. This will make sure that it does not continue to lurk in your compter and/or reactivate later.

You should at least get a very good antivirus such as Norton, Mcafee, or ZoneAlarm and do a good scan and maybe it will delete it.
GET 90 DAYS! FREE!! NORTON 360 at this website.

How to remove Fake Software, Pop-Ups, Spyware, Trojans and Viruses:

Download, install, update and scan your computer with both Malwarebytes and SuperantiSpyware, delete what ever they find, if this fails to completely remove the virus/spyware download then update Avast and run a boot scan (click schedule boot-time scan and restart your PC), all the software below is free and safe to use.

    Malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

    SuperantiSpyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/

    Avast Anti-Virus: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

To protect your PC in the future you'll need to install anti-virus software and a firewall, id recommend using Avast and Comodo Pro firewall both are very effective and completely free, you should also switch to Firefox 3 if you are browsing with IE as its much safer and a lot easier to use. I recommend downloading Spyware Doctor Starter Edition (part of the google pack) to remove your spyware

    - Do a full scan
    - Restart the computer into Safe Mode.
    - Do another full scan

    Free AntiSpyware
    - Spyware Doctor Starter Edition (The Best)
    - SuperAntispyware (2nd Best)
    - Adaware 2007 (most popular)
    - Microsoft Defender
    - AVG AntiSpyware
    - Spyware Terminator 2
    - Spy Hunter 3
    - Spybot Search and Destroy

Download and scan with Malwarebytes and/or SUPERAntiSpyware.

Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware are the best anti-spyware applications available (you can have more than one). Other free anti-spyware programs would be Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware, AVG Anti-spyware (formally Ewido), A-squared, Spyware Terminator and SpywareBlaster.

If you do not have an updated anti-virus program always running, you need to get one. Install only one, but you can get AVG, Avast! or AntiVir for free.

Running virus removal programs in Safe Mode (tap F8 as the computer boots up and choose to boot to safe mode) can be more effective. The idea behind the Safe Mode is that the operating system would only load your essential programs and drivers to the memory and hence there is a “high” chance that the virus-infected file is on the drive but not loaded into memory.

I strongly recommend using Firefox as your primary Web browser, It is safer and beter than Internet Explorer. Get the add-on NoScript for Firefox to prevent click-jacking. The AdBlock Plus extension will allow you to surf virtually ad-free.
